PIGMENT: THE TERRAZZO FLOOR IS BACK TO STAY

Dare with a retro-style porcelain floor tile that is back to set the trend.

Sometimes, that special person who marked your life comes back suddenly, when you least expect it. In the same way, the terrazzo floor resurfaces full of nostalgia and with the strength and magnetism of the classics. Because the 60s can be recalled with a fully modern proposal, Pigment is a collection of bathroom and kitchen tiles ready to surprise you. We go back in time to recover and reinvent with you this charismatic ceramic floor that combines its versatile retro style with maximum resistance.

There are creations that mark a before and after, and that is why they come back again and again… After its inauguration in the 15th century as a paving for Venetian residences, the terrazzo floor became part of the history of world decoration. It started out as the flooring of the terraces of construction workers – who made use of the marble leftovers from their works – and ended up adorning not only the palaces of the time but also the bathrooms, kitchens and living rooms of more than one generation. With the improvement of its polishing, this clay compound, on which stone pebbles and even goat’s milk were poured, gradually renewed its appearance, as well as gaining in consistency. Barely sixty years ago, it re-emerged as the most resistant and versatile flooring and, today, it multiplies its features to fit in your home.

The Pigment collection translates its retro inspiration into a decidedly contemporary proposal. If you thought you could only use it as a vintage bathroom or classic kitchen floor, you were very wrong. Just as in the past people experimented with incorporating terrazo not only different stones but also coloured glass, pearls, aluminium or bronze; these 80×80 cm tiles offer a whole range of attractive shades. Combine them in White, Grey, Black and Multicolour and dare to give shape to original compositions by choosing these kitchen and bathroom tiles in Natural finish or in the elegant Lapato, whose glossy polish will make the difference in the most sophisticated rooms.

And if you missed the terrazzo of the 1960s for its hardness, the new Roca collection will surprise you with its unprecedented performance. As a mass-coloured porcelain tile, Pigment will resist use and the passage of time both as indoor terrazzo in domestic spaces and in high-traffic public places.

Do not renounce to the maximum versatility and resistance of terrazzo flooring, a ceramic flooring that comes back as you have never seen it before.
